Christmas Was Great

We had a great Christmas vacation. It was crazy before Christmas, but being with family and enjoying one another makes it all worth it. We had a great Christmas in Providence this year. Make that a very white Christmas. It snowed a foot plus the day after. We spent most of the day digging out and helping the neighbors with their driveways. We went over to Bear Lake for a couple of days and had fun there sledding and snowmobiling. We came home for a couple of days to do laundry and work and then we headed to Phoenix on New Year's day. We had a real good time there with Schlofman's. Gammy was there too which is always exciting. The kids had a blast riding their scooters and going to the park. Michelle was nice enough to let me go to my first NFL game. The Cardinals beat the Falcons. It was a great playoff game. We visited Aunt Judy and kids while we there too. We always have to much fun that it makes the 10 hour drive worth it.
We came home to a driveway with over a foot of snow on it and inversion. Welcome back to Utah!!

Matthew has arrived

OK, so it only took me SEVEN weeks to get a picture of the baby out on the blog, my bad! Most women update their blogs but Michelle has made it my assignment so bear with me. Seven weeks ago tomorrow Matthew Scott Campbell was born. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 21 inches long. He had the cord wrapped around him when he came out and that gave us a little scare but other than that things went great. Michelle decided to go without an epidural and did great. She sure was strong! Her recovery has been great and she has noticed a big difference in how fast she recovered.
Two weeks after he was born we went to McCall, Idaho, with Michelle's family for vacation. We had a great time. Michelle and the baby spent most of the time trying to get their sleeping schedules in sync. But the other kids loved it. We spent a lot of the time just hanging out on the beach and playing in the water. Hannah and Will did some water skiing ( maybe 60 seconds) and they had a blast.
That was pretty much our trip. We are trying to get one more trip to Bear Lake before Hannah starts school. But we are just extremely blessed to have a healthy, strong baby boy.

Baby is Coming Soon

Well it has been too long since I have updated our blog. Not too much has changed except the size of Michelle's tummy. She is doing well and looks great for being so far along. The baby is due the second week of July. Michelle is in a serious nesting stage of the pregnancy. With the help of our personal assistant, Mandy, (our sweet cousin) we have remodeled the upstairs of our house. Mandy even let us get an LCD! It looks great.
The kids are doing great and are very busy. They love playing with our neighbors the Reeves. It is like a big playground around here. Hannah is looking forward to Kindergarten ('Kinderdarling' as Hannah calls it) this fall. Grandma Debbie hooked her up with an endless wardrobe. Will is doing great. He is finally potty-trained except for nights. He loves all sports right now. He is a real chatterbox much like his sister. He is pretty funny though because he will answer his own questions. For example he will ask me, "Dad, is it ok if I go out and play ball?" and then he will answer and say, "Dad say, sure Will that would be fine." He makes us laugh all the time.
Well that is the most recent update we have, I will try to do better at updating the blog. Here are a couple of pictures that we had taken the other day of the kids.

The Rest of Winter

So it has been awhile since I blogged. In February we went to the cabin in Bear Lake and shoveled snow all weekend long. We even brought Mandy along to help out. There was so much snow that we had to crawl in on our hands and knees. We made the most of it and shoveled the 3-4 feet of drifts that were there. We took the snowmobiles too.
The following weekend we went to Boise to help out there. We had a good time we did some trips to the DI and even got in a little skiing. While she was there Hannah thought it would be a good time to give her cousin Emily a haircut. If she was living in the south it would have been ok. PAPA had had enough of the Grandkids and decided to take things into his own hands.
When we got home the weather had started to warm up a little and some of our snow is finally starting to melt. This has been a record year for us. I am sure glad we have snowblower. We went to the doctor last week and found out that the baby is going to be a boy. So now we get to play the name game. Hannah has been up to a lot lately. It seems to always happen when Michelle is taking a shower. She decided to get Will in a swimsuit and couldn't find his so she used hers. I know, I know it is a rainbow suit. These photos will be used for his wedding!

Our Christmas Break

We had a great Christmas. I had two weeks off so we can't complain. We made the most of it. We went to Boise for Christmas this year. We were there for 5 days and had a blast. We went for a couple four wheeler ride and sledding. Will loved the four wheelers and Hannah was a dare devil on the sleds. She wanted to go as high as possible.
We left Boise on Friday on bad roads. It took us awhile to get home. We were welcomed home with a foot of snow waiting for me to shovel. We were only home for 14 hours and then we left for Phoenix around 4:00 in the morning. Of course the kids didn't want to miss out on anything and didn't sleep hardly at all. We made good time and arrived at Uncle Bill and Aunt Carolee's around 2:30 in the afternoon. It was great to be with the Schlofman family. Gammy was there too.
The kids loved Phoenix. The weather was in the 60's and perfect. The kids were so excited to see grass again. Will just rolled and rolled around in it. Will found a new friend in Uncle Bill. They had a great time flying Helicopters and playing with remote control cars.
While we were there we visited Aunt Judy and Uncle Ron in Gilbert. It is always good to see the Cooks. Their kids are so nice and good to ours. We had a great visit.
We were in Phoenix for a week. Out ride home was a good adventure. We hit snow around Kanab and we had to plough the way through with the car. It was some "White Knuckle" experience. But our prayers were answered and we made it home safely.
We had a great Christmas break. It sure was hard getting back into the swing of things again. Oh by the way we also annouced that Michelle is pregnant and is due in July. Let's just say that Hannah is pretty excited.
